The following subtasks will be addressed as basis for the risk estimation. All information will be gathered in databases that can be accessed through GIS systems. Three cities are foreseen as investigation targets, one in each country. The capitals (Guatemala City, San Salvador and Managua) are main targets for this investigation.
The task will include:
- City building mass; Distribution and condition.
- Population distribution
- City soil and topography conditions and distributions
- Estimation of seismic risk scenarios
- Local active faults
