Regional Workshops and Meetings

An important issue is the dissemination of software and sharing of experience. This will be achieved through regular meetings and workshops. While the studies should focus on Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua, professionals from other countries in Central America will participate in research and workshops, thereby emphasizing the importance of regional competence enhancement within earthquake seismology and earthquake engineering.

The task will include:

  • Task meetings. Technical experts working on the same topics meet regularly as part of the working tasks. Professionals from other Central American countries shall be invited to participate on an irregular basis.
  • Experts from outside the project group shall be invited to give presentations.
