Board Of Directors
The board of directors is the highest governing body of the Foundation and shall ensure that the activities are in accordance with the purpose of the Foundation and in compliance with laws and regulations.
The chairman and board members are elected by a Governance Selection Committee and appointed for a period of three years at a time. Employee representatives are appointed for a period of two years.

Organization
The institute is led by a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) supported by an administrative staff. Research, innovation, and activities related to the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty are divided among four departments. Additionally, the foundation has a subsidiary company, NORSAR Innovation AS, which is co-located with the foundation.
