From 8 to 12 September, NORSAR attended this year's CTBTO Science & Technology Conference (SnT2025) in Vienna. The conference brought together over 1,000 participants from around the world – researchers, diplomats, technologists and students – at the Hofburg Palace.

The SnT conference is an important meeting place for showcasing new technology and research that strengthens the monitoring of the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty (CTBT). Several of NORSAR's experts participated in presentations and panel discussions, and contributed actively to the Young Professionals Network (YPN), which brings together young researchers and professionals in the field.

Through collaboration, networking and knowledge sharing, the conference contributes to the development of new solutions for monitoring the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty – work in which NORSAR plays a central role.
