The Lillestrøm Mayor, Kjartan Barland visited NORSAR today
On the agenda at today’s meeting between Mayor Berland and NORSAR’s leadership — Birger Steen, Arve E. Mjelva, and Niels Røine — was a review of NORSAR’s projects and strategy.
- The further development of Kjeller and Lillestrøm’s unique position in preparedness and security is extremely important. And it is not primarily about major plans five years down the road. It is about urgency in the geopolitical situation we are currently facing, and about working together to facilitate continuous development, was the message from Birger Steen, CEO of NORSAR, during today’s meeting with the Mayor of Lillestrøm, Kjartan Berland.
“I fully agree that we have a strong position in security and preparedness. We must continue to develop it — we need to make things happen. It is encouraging that the many strong stakeholders are talking together about how we can further strengthen our position,” said Berland.
The Mayor was introduced to NORSAR’s various areas of responsibility and activities. NORSAR has 60 employees from 12 different nations.
NORSAR is at the global forefront in developing commercial software products and services in seismic oil and gas exploration and microseismic monitoring.
