2022 was a good year for us at NORSAR. In this year's snapshot, you can read about our important work within the test ban treaty, fiber technology, safe and transparent storage of CO2 and our work on a safer society against natural hazards.
Despite the fact that we started the year by returning to good working days and a social life, 2022 ended up being an unusual year, nevertheless. On February 24, Ukraine was invaded, and we immediately lost communication with our listening stations. A new effort to monitor explosions near the nuclear power plants began by expanding the applications of the technologies used to monitor nuclear weapon test explosions.
NORSAR's vision is to create a safer world through outstanding research on the earth's vibrations. Our important societal mission is a major driver for creating good results. In this year's snapshot, we highlight our important work within the the test ban treaty, fiber technology, safe and transparent storage of CO2 and our work on a safer society against natural hazards.
