An earthquake swarm which started in 1978 and produced more than 10,000 earthquakes over just a few weeks received a lot of attention and was presented scientifically the year after through this paper. The location of the swarm in Northern was very close to where the largest known historical earthquake in Scandinavia occurred in 1819.
